Description
This photographic work portrays a kind of „tableau vivant“ of
a common family phenomenon: A father observes from a short distance his small
son involved in a sporting activity. The facial expressions of both reveal
the lack of a spontaneous and healthy relationship and understanding between
the two generations and also their inability to find one another.
The questions which arise in observing the scene, rotate around this relationship:
Did the father push his son to partake in sporting activities in order to
project those goals onto him, which he failed reach in his life? Or is he
trying to reduce the guilt feelings he harbours towards his son, though his
engagement.
